Crawl Space Drainage

Many homes on the Eastern Shore of Maryland suffer from water in the crawl space due to the high water table and ground water intrusion. The only way to maintain a clean, dry crawl space is to implement a necessary drainage system.

A perimeter drain also known as a  French Drain, is necessary where a large amount of water is entering the crawl space. The drainage system once installed will move water through a trench to a sump pump and evacuate it from the crawl space. This is achieved by digging an 8" x 8" trench along the interior of the foundation. The trench is then filled with a 4" perforated pipe and stone.

If you know your crawl space is suffering from ground water intrusion, please call Total Home Performance for a free crawl space evaulation.
